Indiana’s women have been important
Indiana’s women have been important in shaping the Hoosier state, despite being almost invisible in written history. Author Louise Hillery will tell some of their stories, including those of a wealthy Miami fur trader, a World War II pilot, pioneer educators, artists, reformers, and businesswomen. Hillery’s book, Bold Women in Indiana History, is the result of ten years of travel and research throughout Indiana. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
