On Thursday, September 23 and Friday, September 24, the Ulrich Building on Fourth Street between Washington and Franklin, will light up with memories and experiences about our city and county, Columbus Indiana in Bartholomew County. To commemorate our 200 years, this immersive and unique show will feature our past, present and future through thousands of points of projection.
You Won’t Believe Your Eyes…Or Your Ears!
Using complicated technology, this exceptional projected show blends video, photos, music and speeches that highlight community experiences and memories. Whether tugging your heart or learning something new, “Our Stories Illuminated” will touch you.
History and Memory-Making
By celebrating our bicentennial in such a visual way, we hope you’ll gain historical perspective while aiming toward an even brighter Columbus future! Bring a lawn chair along with your friends and neighbors. Then, be prepared be inspired. Likely, you will be moved to share your own community memories.
Come and stay
The show, suitable for all ages, will run on a continuous loop from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., and you’ll want to see it multiple times. The 4th Street Bar will have food and drinks available. Creating a festive downtown atmosphere, numerous bicentennial prizes will be given away throughout the evening.
