  • Norbert Krapf, former Indiana Poet Laureate, kept a secret for half a century. As a boy in Jasper he was molested by his parish priest. Seven years ago Krapf began writing poems about his abuse, and the result is Catholic Boy Blues. This event will include a reading of these poems in four voices - the boy, the man, the priest, and Mr. Blues - and a question/answer time. Lynn Pittman, Child Abuse Prevention Coordinator, and Raina Jones from Family Service, Inc. will be present as local resources. Viewpoint Books will have copies of Catholic Boy Blues for sale. Krapf recently received the Indiana Authors Award as best Regional Author.
